Objective
My goal for this project was to make a creature using basic design tools. This design should portray the physical, behavioral, and personality characteristics of the creature.
Research
To begin this project, I collected pictures of the blue ring octopus to assess its features and behaviors.
I wanted to incorporate its fluid motions into my design.
Sketches
Paying close attention to my references, I started to break down the geometry of the octopus and decided which poses I thought would be the most interesting to expand on.

I wanted the type around my creature to act as an environment to interact with. It took me a couple tries to get the look I wanted.
